Last year marked a significant milestone for us as the G.O.D. Parent’s Day Out program, established in 2014, transitioned into a fully state licensed preschool: The Academy for GOD Preschool. This transition reflects our commitment to meet the rigorous standards associated with high quality early childhood education. Now, we can better meet the growing needs of our families and community as we offer up to 5 days of care during normal school hours.
The state of early childhood education across the nation is in crisis, with Tennessee ranking 36th in child well-being according to the 2023 KIDS COUNT Data Book. This concerning statistic underscores the pressing need for accessible and high-quality preschool programs, especially in regions identified as child care deserts, such as the area surrounding our program. The Academy for GOD Preschool provides private Christian education in an area with few options outside of chain childcare, and many of our families love it so much they drive from counties away!
The Academy for GOD Preschool provides families not just quality, affordable childcare, but gives students a holistic, Bible-centered educational experience. Here, preschool is not just a means of socialization or a first classroom experience. It’s a crucial part of a child’s development outside the home, and an irreplaceable support to families with young children.
Our teachers care for each child on an individual level, tailoring our comprehensive curriculum to meet children on a developmentally appropriate level. Our team has more than 50 years of experience combined in early childhood education, and is continually learning and growing. We’re committed to high quality early learning, providing an environment where children can thrive intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
