Our work in East Africa began in Kenya in 1998. Since 2007, GOD East Africa has its hub in central Uganda. On our 14-acre campus, you'll find a model of sustainability in agriculture and building techniques. Local leaders oversee our initiatives in church planting, youth empowerment (SLAM), leadership development, and primary and secondary education. Our team is well-versed in advocating for the needs of the vulnerable, particularly children.

We believe that building up people is essential.

GOD International Gregg Kenya

In 1998, GOD Intl Founder Gregg Garner was invited to be the musician for a team serving in Western Kenya.  It was on that eye-opening, two-month immersion trip, of which Robert Munoz was also in attendance, that Gregg recounts, "If I didn't respond to the needs of the vulnerable women, children and families that I had encountered, then I was in the wrong. So I got very serious about what I was going to do about poverty after that trip."

Our early years in Africa would set precedent for our missiological approaches in all four developing world regions within which our organization serves.

GOD international Garden East Africa

Faith Wells Garden

"Faith Wells Garden," inspired by Nashville's Hopewell Gardens, commemorates a prayerful moment leading to a successful well-drilling in Uganda. This well irrigates our extensive garden, supporting local farmers' livelihoods and feeding many.

Annually, the garden yields over ten thousand pounds of produce and serves as a model for local farmers to learn and enhance their own crop production.
